I am just immensely relieved and ecstatic at the same time* at Hamilton's maiden Championship win after a Brazilian Grand Prix of epic proportions with an absolutely nerve wracking last 30 seconds where all seemed lost at the penultimate corner but thanks to Timo Glock and the irrational Toyota decision not to switch to wet tires,Hamilton snatched victory from the jaws of defeat. It was as dramatic as it can get though you can't help feeling sorry for Massa. All I can think of now was that Hamilton deserved it.It was a season of many ups and downs with fortunes see-sawing like mad but Mc Laren did pull it back in the last few races. The most defining moment award of the season (after the finale of course) would go to: Massa coming out of the pit lane in Singapore with the fuel hose attached :D **. Let's hope we see more and more such Hamilton championship wins and such great entertaining races.

PS:Nicole Scherzinger of PCD was there to cheer her man on.no wonder he held his nerve :)
*it has been such a great year for sports in general isn't it? First we had India winning the Perth test, then Rafa winning Wimbeldon, then India winning three medals at the Olympics and Phelps single-handedly changing the way we look at swimming and now this.

Was a ferrari, M. Schumacher fan for a long time. Then was mainly an Alonso opponent, now am evenly split between my loyalty to Ferrari and thus to Raikonnen and Massa and my new found respect and support for Hamilton!
Therefore had mixed feelings about those final 30 secs that you refer to. But I think overall, am glad Hamilton finally won! He did deserve it!
I wonder why do you say he deserves it! I find there is little to separate Massa and Hamilton this year. Could have been one or the other.
@Ankita:refer to the last year post linked in this. You'll know why!
@IP:Actually,as I was saying to a friend of mine recently-most F1 fans are caught in the Constructor vs Driver quandary which arises when drivers one supports move out of the team and join some other team.I prefer supporting drivers as opposed to supporting constructors-as it definitely takes more than a machine to win an F1 race.
@Niksworth:No doubt it was a close season but Hamilton deserved the title more as he has already seen defeat from a close margin ( referring to last season)
One doesn't deserve a Championship more just because one was defeated last year... :P. This year Massa had more No.1 finishes than Hamilton and he deserved it more because of the freaky fuel hose incident...
It might take more than a machine to win the championship but the machine is very important... how would Hamilton have fared if he was given the FORCE INDIA car to race with :P
I am Ferrari fan rather than a Hamilton hater.. so tomorrow if Hamilton drives for Ferrari, I will be his biggest supporter...
Alonso is expected to join Ferrari after The Iceman retires next year... what a mouth watering 2011.. Alonso in a Ferrari vs Hamilton in the Mac..

The fact that he is not in the Force India team proves what an exceptional driver Hamilton is-just by the virtue of his performances,McLaren were convinced enough to hire him and he did not make his debut in a lesser car as most drivers do.

So according to you it was Ferrari's fault and not Massa's.So isn't it time you started supporting him and not the team which gets the electronics on it's lollipop wrong?
wow..finally some heat to beat the winters..
