Bengalooru??!!

to,
Dharam Singh,
chief minister,
karnataka

subj: do something!!
respected sir,

as a concerned citizen of Bangalore...i would like to pull your attention away from petty coalition squabbles and ask you to concentrate on the job of governing Karnataka and Bangalore and not indulge in the game of name change......... there is absolutely no reason why Bangalore has to be known as Bengalooru!!.In Kannada anyways it is pronounced as bengalooru....The only thing that this name change achieves to do is reestablish the importance of english in India today...coz if it was not important then why would you insist on changing the english spelling!!
so in a way you have succedeed in conveying exactly the opposite message that you intended to put forward....... so typical of you politicians i would say.... and not only Bangalore but other towns have also been infested by this name changing disease.....Mysore-Mysooru,Mangalore-Mangalooru,Gulbarga-Kalburgi...... dont know where it will end.... if you really want to make a difference to the state and especially to Bangalore...i would suggest....
1.WIDEN THE ROADS FOR HEAVENS' SAKE!!...roadwise Bangalore is still stuck in the city of the 60's....every goddam galli is full of vechicles...and 2 wheelers everywhere..
2. REGULATE THE NO. OF VEHICLES.....every day 600 new vehicles are added to Bangalore roads...its madness...
3. IMPROVE THE DRAINAGE SYSTEM.... a downpour for a couple of days leaves Bangalore flooded as if it was hit by a tsunami or something..
4.SOLVE THE CET MESS QUICK every year there is a new rule to admission to professional colleges....private colleges seek to make profit and its like different batches of students are paying different fees in the same college
5.ACCELERATE THE METRO PROJ......bangalore desparately needs a mass transport system better than the staid and cumbersome BMTC
6. WE WANT A NIGHT LIFE!.....the rule of closing down all establishments by 11:30 PM must go (yes for you non-Bangaloreans... all pubs and discs in Bangalore close by that time ;) )

so mr. dharam singh......please i hope you are listening and will not dispose of this letter in the dustbins of bureuacratic corridors....

I am Jack's indecisiveness wrapped in a sheath of fatalistic tendencies
