Its been long ...almost a month and a lot has happened....A somewhat memorable b'day followed by an amazing trip to Goa and a hectic period of seminars and back-breaking project work(my project-mates will most probably say that all I did was recite inane stories, take 'power' naps and generally fiddle around with the laptop).A lot of trips to CCD's and random restaurants happened. The sem so far has been pretty roller-coaster.Also finally began reading Ulysses and am absolutely loving it.
Also, thanks to Uatu I finally could lay my hands on Sandman. Most amazing stuff and I am already head over heels in love with Death :-D.What a character!Actually I would place Death along with Dagny Taggart as my favorite female characters in any form of literature(for clarification, I hate Ayn Rand's philosophy but love her characters,Hank Rearden being my fav).My Orkut profile pic has dream and death sitting together and gives my profile a slick look me thinks. My roomie is worried 'coz just today I listened to Beethoven's 9th some 7 times...somehow I am finally coming to terms with some of the addictions that I have: currently Beethoven's 9th,coffee, Orkut...the most dangerous being Orkut.I am on auto-pilot most of the times on Orkut and would have scrapped people without knowing and have joined communities without actually being interested in that particular topic.I am seriously addicted, suggestions for de-addiction anyone?
College has almost come to an end and I might just have attended my last classes without realizing it......and can't help feeling extremely nostalgic about our dept. who have been extremely sweet this sem without harassing us too much about attendance and internals and stuff...compared to CSE,we have teachers who 'understand' our 'problems' and give us extensions on deadlines.Just in case somebody from any other branch is reading this...my friend Avinash has attended only about 10% classes in all of engineering..thats like he has attended only about a semester out of eight. So there... that I guess would put all arguments about superiority of branches to an end.I would follow this post with a few posts on the various characters that inhabit our dept. and college in general and another one on my fav subjects throughout engineering...so geeky technical post alert on subsequent posts. Maybe I will do a Goa post too.....
PS:The pic-Miramir beach,Goa...the greatest holiday destination in India and if you have not been there yet, you are seriously seriously missing out on something.

That was a nice post. and as for addiction, be they g-talk, ym or orkut or for that matter, even people, i think they need weaning. then again not, a few days away from such things and i come raring back. sheesh.
Btw- 10% attendance, dya guys need to pay fines or something?
I think a human being is INCOMPLETE without a college trip minus parents plus booze (whether it's a part of ur hourly consumtion there, or your classmates) to Goa. When did u take this heavenly vacation?
i really dunno why ...but this post doesnt sound like u.Unlike ur previous posts which had gammafunction stamped all over it.Maybe the rains have brought about this mellowness
who are these characters ,,dunno after reading fountain head ,,i did not see philosophy but the hero in man..
@aashu:I am still in the process of enjoying the last few days :)
@dreamcatcher:thanks,people addiction I've had enough and as for other things I sincerely hope no substance/ thing would abuse me when I use it/them.
as for attendance,we actually need to attend 85% classes and till 75% is acceptable otherwise ,under any circumstance we don't get our hall-tickets.How avinash manages to do to it is a mystery :)
@deepika:well said :) .The trip was in march last week.
@Saanjh:It is still very much me in this post,a part of me which you are not aware of?
@ghostrider:yeah true, that is the only thing endearing about Ayn Rand's books.
wow! finally a post :)
10/10 for the description on ur involvement in the project ;)
Why dont u like Ayn Rand??
I hve liked her "anthem" very much!
visited your blog after an enormously (grossly inappropriate usage may be excused) long time. As for orkut... leave that job to your job....
GREAT YAAR
yeah rightly said...i really wasnt aware of this semi-sensitive side of u..the only pics my mind used to conjure to the name of gammafunction were 'angry young man on his perennial quest for the unknown'!
